PITTSBURGH —
Scattered snow storms are expected to continue through the weekend.
By Saturday, Pittsburgh could see 4-8 inches of total accumulation with more snow showers possible on Sunday.

Pittsburgh leaders said they were prepared for the storm.
"I'll be out in the field and the assistant director will be out in the field. We'll monitor the snow closely. If it gets to the point where I feel we need assistance through extra heavy equipment, I'll make a call to the mayor's office and get the ball rolling," Public Works Director Rob Kaczorowski said.
City roads were mostly wet and slushy throughout the day Friday and drivers had no problem getting where they needed to go.
Kaczorowski said his crews have been in salting and plowing mode since Thursday night.
"The roads I drove on were very passable, very good," driver Bill Fletcher said. "No complaint. The main roads, you wouldn't even know we got all this snow."
The wintry weather has caused flight cancellations and delays across the East Coast. Travelers trying to get out of Pittsburgh on Friday should check their flight status before heading to the airport.
WESTMORELAND COUNTY:
In Westmoreland County, another frigid blast of snow fell in Murrysville.
By early Friday morning, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation had major roads cleared of snow.
Some residents are happy with the way the snow situation has been handled, but others are fed up with the weather altogether.
"I'm tired of the snow. I'm tired of plowing it every day. Seems like it never ends," Shanksville resident Richard Brown said.
WASHINGTON COUNTY:
In Washington County, police said several minor crashes were reported Friday, but none were serious.
The snow was heavy at times, causing one postal carrier to get her vehicle stuck in a ditch.
"I got chains on my truck, but I still slipped inside of a gutter alongside the mailbox and I had to be pulled out," said postal worker Karen o'Brien.
Most schools were canceled, causing problems for parent Amy Caldwell, who had no choice but to bring her kids to work with her at Krispy Kreme in South Strabane Township.
"I'm ready for it to be done and not have to worry about the phone or a text message telling me the kids are staying home again," said Caldwell.
