Pittsburgh Soldier Proposes To Girlfriend As Soldiers Return Home

PITTSBURGH —

Eleven members of the 911th Airlift Wing returned to Pittsburgh on Friday, including one member who had a special surprise for his girlfriend.

The group had spent four months in Afghanistan, which gave Sgt. Seth Zora a lot of time to plan his proposal to girlfriend Amandie Outman.

Outman's mother helped with the plan, slipping the ring into Zora's backpack. Moments later, he proposed and got a well-received "yes."

The couple plans on living in Imperial. They have not yet set a date for the wedding.
