Pleasant Hills Police Warn Of Scammers Targeting Elderly

PLEASANT HILLS, Pa. —

Police in Pleasant Hills said at least two elderly residents in the Pittsburgh suburb have been targeted in a lottery scam.

Police said con artists are contacting elderly residents and telling them they have won $5 million and a new car. The residents are told that all they have to do is send money to an address in Texas.

One elderly person in Pleasant Hills already fell victim to the con and lost all the money sent, police said. Another person was contacted about the scam.

Anyone contacted about such a scam should notify a family member or call police.
