Police Arrest Boyfriend In Clairton Woman's Death

CLAIRTON, Pa. —

Police arrested the boyfriend of a 32-year-old Clairton woman whose been missing since last March.

On Wednesday, officials extradited 36-year-old James Hilson, of Clairton, from Georgia on an unrelated warrant.

Hilson was charged Thursday with criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse.

The remains of Melissa Galiyas were recovered from a shallow grave on a hillside off Vankirk Street in Clairton on Dec. 22.

Galiyas was the cousin of 22-year-old Amanda Lynn Faux, whose body was found Sunday in a Dumpster.

Police arrested Faux’s boyfriend in the case. Police have not said if the two cases are related.
