Police Arrest Mom After Violent Dispute With Daughter

McKeesport police found a 17-year-old girl lying on the sidewalk unresponsive Tuesday morning in McKeesport's Crawford Village apartment complex.

According to the criminal complaint, the girl was "breathing but not responding."

Investigators said she was fighting with her mother and the mother has been charged.

According to the criminal complaint, the mother told investigators she and her daughter got into a verbal argument, then started fighting.

They separated then fought again, each fight lasting 10 minutes, said police.

The mother also told police she did not hit her daughter with anything other than her fist.

The girl was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Her mother faces charges of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
