Police: Bethel Park Man Accused In Huge Burglary Bust

BETHEL PARK, Pa. —

Police in Bethel Park said they found hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stolen items in a garage.

Police said they arrested Andrew McQuiston, 31, of Bethel Park, after he was allegedly caught breaking into a home.

“One of the neighbors looked out the window, actually watched the actor breaking into the front door and called the police,” police Chief John Mackey said. “So when the police arrived, he was exiting the front door with a handful of stolen articles and walked right into the waiting arms of the police officers.”

Investigators said they believe he stole over the past several months from construction sites. They said they found tool cases, drills, copper wire and other items in his garage. Police said they needed a 53-foot-long trailer to move the stolen items from his garage.

McQuiston refused to speak with Channel 11 News reporter Kimberly Easton at his house Tuesday.
