Police Bust Men Posing As Female Prostitutes In Strip District

PITTSBURGH —

Pittsburgh police said two men posing as female prostitutes used a Strip District hotel for their services.

According to investigators, the men advertised online. Tamika Jones, 32, and Nakala Jackson, both of Cleveland, have female names but were born male, police said.

Police said the pair were working as female prostitutes and were arrested after an undercover online prostitution sting.

Investigators said they made arrangements with the transvestites through an online website called Back Page Pittsburgh.

Channel 11's Vince Sims found their ads online. Sims said Jones called himself "Candice" and said, "Have me your way anyway you want for $75."

Sims said Jackson posted photographs and offered "sensual therapeutic encounter for $100 an hour."

According to the police report, the officer who arranged the deal asked the suspects, "Can I have both of you?" At that point the officer said Jones, "grabbed my groin area outside my clothing and opened the door and instructed me to enter."

The officer said Jackson was in the room and saw police through the hotel window. Jackson said, "They are here. He is police. Let's get out of here."

Investigators said both suspects ran from the room but were later arrested by police outside of the hotel.

Both men are facing prostitution, criminal conspiracy and other charges.
