Police: Car Drove Into Path Of Ambulance In Munhall

Munhall police are investigating a crash Tuesday afternoon which involved an ambulance en route to an emergency call.

Police said a woman drove out of the Tri-Boro Federal Credit Union parking lot and into the path of an ambulance on Eighth Avenue at Andrew Street.

The ambulance driver swerved to avoid the woman’s car and struck a utility pole, police said.

The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where her name and condition have not been released.

Police have not determined whether any charges will be filed.
