Police Find Huge Stockpile Of Marijuana In Plum Borough

PLUM, Pa. —

An anti-drug task force combining several agencies in Allegheny County uncovered a large scale drug operation.

A New York City woman, Tamacina Lynn Johnson, 38, was taken into custody Friday night for her role in the trafficking organization.

Investigators said Johnson rented an apartment in Plum Borough where the drugs were stored.

The marijuana, which was grown in Mexico, was destined for locations throughout the northeastern United States.

Johnson is charged with possession of 540 lbs. of marijuana, valued at $2.7 million.

Police believe drug shipments of a similar quantity passed through her apartment on a regular basis.

She is being held in the Allegheny County Jail on $2 million bond.
