Police ID Victim In Fatal Route 837 In Union Township

 

UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

A 48-year-old man was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Washington County early Wednesday morning.

Authorities said a box truck went crossed over into the northbound lane of Route 837 in Union Township and struck two pickup trucks, killing a man who was inside one of them.

Police said the victim, Roger Walters, of Slovan, Pa., was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Route 837 was closed between Coal Bluff Road and Route 88 while crews removed the wreckage and cleaned up fuel.

Authorities continue to investigate.
