Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Accident in North Versailles

A pedestrian was hit and killed in North Versailles early Monday morning.

Police questioned a driver.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 41-year-old Patricia Carlin, of North Versailles.

Police say the accident happened around midnight along East Pittsburgh-McKeesport Boulevard. A Ford Escort was traveling south when the driver hit Carlin, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

An autopsy is scheduled for later today. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed.
