Police: Pittsburgh-Area Janitor Said He'd Kill Everyone If Fired

CALIFORNIA, Pa. —

A California School District janitor was arrested and charged with making threats and harassing fellow workers.

Police said Michael Tiernan, 53, of Daisytown, is accused of making threatening comments to coworkers.

According to police, he said, "If I get fired or lose my job, nobody is coming out of this building alive."

Investigators said the threats went on from February through April 2009.

Tiernan was suspended from his job awaiting an arbitration hearing.

His preliminary hearing is set for Monday.
