Police: Pregnant Woman Starts Bar Fight After Getting Cut Off

Victim Gets Ear Reattached At UPMC Mercy

BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. —

A pregnant woman threw a beer bottle, nearly ripping off a bartender's ear, according to police.

Channel 11's news partner the Beaver County Times reports the fight broke out at the Squire Municipal Grill and Bar in Rochester early Saturday morning.

The bartender, Ricki Shields, said the attack happened after she told the woman it was already last call and that she shouldn't be drinking because she's pregnant.

Shields had to get two staples and 28 stitches to reattach her ear at UPMC Mercy hospital.

Police said they plan to charge the alleged attacker with aggravated assault.
