Police Search For Insurance Fraud Suspect

CERT Closes Road In Westmoreland County

NEW FLORENCE, Pa. —

Police closed a road in New Florence, Westmoreland County Monday night, while they searched for a man wanted on a charge of insurance fraud.

Earlier in the day, law enforcement surrounded David McGinnis' home in Bolivar.

Officers were trying to serve an arrest warrant.

They used tear gas, but no one came out of the home.

McGinnis' wife, Denise McGinnis, had been arrested on a charge of insurance fraud earlier Monday.

Officers called in the CERT after getting reports that David McGinnis was armed.

When officers didn't find McGinnis in Bolivar, they shifted their search to New Florence.

Neighbors said Shannon Creek Road was shut down Monday night and helicopters searched from above.
