PENN HILLS, Pa. —
Police said their 18-year-old brother Troy Hill -- who allegedly committed the crime -- is on the run.
Tyron Hill died after being stabbed at his family's home on Richey Drive. Tyrel, his twin brother, was taken to Children's Hospital. His condition is not being released.
The boys' grandfather, Lovett Williams, found the boys after a frantic search through the house. He said Tyron was already dead and Tyrel told him that their holder brother stabbed them. Allegheny County Police Assistant Superintendent Jim Morton told Channel 11 News that the 11-year-old came home from school and their mother was trying to get a hold of them. When she couldn't reach them, she called their grandfather.
Neighbors told Channel 11 News that the twins are straight "A" students at Linton Middle School and also played sports.
During a press conference Wednesday morning, Allegheny County Police Superintendent Charles Moffat said they believe Hill is on foot. Hill is considered armed and dangerous. Police don't know if Hill is hiding somewhere, staying with friends or got help to get away. They do not believe he had access to a vehicle and had little or no money and no access to a credit card.
Channel 11 will continue to follow the investigation into this family tragedy, including the search for the suspect. Watch for new details throughout the day on WPXI.com and Channel 11 News.
