Police: Student Made Blow Torch, Set Fire In School Bathroom

 

PITTSBURGH —

Authorities are investigating after a fire was set in a bathroom at Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy on Tuesday.

Several hundred students and faculty were evacuated after police said someone intentionally set the blaze by using a spray can to make a blow torch.

An arrest was made, but police haven’t released the suspect's identity other then to say the student accused is 14 years old.

There is no word on the extent of the damage. Everyone has since been allowed to return back to the building.

No students or staff were injured in the incident.
