Police: Unsafe Driving Contributes To Fatal Accident In Washington County

CHARLEROI, Pa. —

Fallowfield Township Police report that a motorcyclist from Monessen was killed in a car accident Sunday afternoon.

Authorities said Scott Prosser, 45, lost control of his 1995 Harley Davidson and drove into the path of an oncoming pick-up truck on State Route 88.

Prosser was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries. He was transported to Mon Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:45 p.m.

The driver of the pick-up truck was treated for minor injuries.

Police said Prosser's automobile driver's license was suspended and he never obtained a license to operate a motorcycle. He was also not wearing a helmet.

Investigators believe Prosser lost control of the motorcycle because he was driving too fast.
