Port Authority Hoping To Get Grant Money For North Shore Connector

The Port Authority of Pittsburgh is seeking permission from federal officials to spend grant money on the North Shore Connector.

While grant money is usually spent on the improvement of bus and T-networks, officials from the Port Authority are hoping to use the money to pay off cost overruns from the $435 million project.

The North Shore Connector is a project that will connect the Pittsburgh’s North Side to the trolley line. It is expected to be completed in 2011.
