PITTSBURGH —
Investigators said the incident began when they were called to a home on Fleming Avenue in Brighton Heights Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses said someone in a light, tan, older-model Buick, with at least two men, fired shots into a house and then fled the scene.
Police said after those shots were fired, at least six people who were on the porch of the home, fled the scene to chase the shooters.
A short time later, police said a person in the Buick was spotted by witnesses, firing shots at a dark colored BMW on Route 65.
A pregnant woman was driving a car nearby. She didn't want to go on camera or release her name but said she heard about 10 shots fired in a matter of seconds.
"I started ducking and weaving. I had my head below the steering wheel. I didn't know where they were going. So in case they were coming my way I was trying to dodge them," she said. "The whole back of my car was rammed. Once my car was rammed one of my tires went up onto the wall. I had two tires on the ground, two tires on the wall, and as I was coming back down I got rammed on the other side."
The woman is three months pregnant. She was checked out at a hospital. She and the baby are O.K.
So far, no arrest has been made.
