Protesters March Against Iraq War

March Shut Down Streets In Oakland

PITTSBURGH —

Hundreds of war protesters marched through the streets of Oakland on Saturday.

Anti-war symbols like coffins and peace flags were all over the area as people spoke out against the Iraq war, more than five years after it started.

The Thomas Merton Center organized the rally.

Pittsburgh Police escorted the protesters, and closed off Fifth Avenue during the march.

No arrests or incidents were reported.
