PINE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
Police said 26-year-old Lindsey Paulat held them on a 12-hour standoff at Wilson's Pine Township home this weekend.
About 70 neighbors were evacuated from their homes during the standoff that ended around 1 a.m. Sunday. Monday night, the Northern Regional Police chief met with those neighbors to answer their questions about the incident.
One neighbor who had to stay in a hotel told Channel 11 that the incident was surprising in their quiet community.
Kim Berkhoutt said, “How long it took for one person who was in a house, who was pretty much encased in a house and wasn't threatening other people, it’s kind of surprising it took as long as it did to be resolved.”
Many neighbors said their questions about the incident were answered.
Paulat will be charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. She is undergoing counseling at a behavioral clinic and may return there following her arraignment.
