Replicas Of Columbus' Nina, Pinta Dock In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH —

Starting Wednesday, Pittsburghers will be able to tour some of the most famous ships in U.S. history.

Replicas of the "Nina" and the "Pinta" docked Tuesday at the North Shore Riverfront Park.

The two ships are the most historically correct replicas ever built of the Christopher Columbus fleet. Columbus is credited with discovering America in 1492, sailing from Spain with his fleet, which included the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria.

The two ships will be open for tours in Pittsburgh for a little over a week. Tickets are being sold at the dock.
