Residents Concerned About Carson Street Bars

South Side Community Says Bar Goers Ruin Neighborhood

PITTSBURGH —

Residents on the South Side say they are fed up with bar goers ruining their neighborhood.

They gathered at Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl's town meeting Wednesday night to show their concern for what they're calling Pittsburgh's Bourbon Street.

South Siders are asking for a limit to the number of bar licenses given to the area as well as more police enforcement.

The Ravenstahl administration is working on a plan.

It involves investigating what other cities are doing with similar situations.
