BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. —
Conway resident Robert Campbell complained to the Beaver Falls Water Authority, but he feels he’s getting the run-around.
“Sewage. It smells like sewage,” Campbell said. It smells so bad he said he doesn’t trust drinking it.
“You make your coffee -- you still taste it in your coffee,” he said.
The mystery odor is in the water supply coming from the Beaver River and through the water authority intakes. Officials acknowledged the odor but insisted Department of Environmental Protection testing shows the water is safe.
Campbell and other county residents are not convinced, though. They are using bottled water and plan to continue using it for cooking and drinking.
“I'm not (even) gonna let my dog drink (the water),” Campbell said.
