PITTSBURGH —
The casino will open on Aug. 9 instead of Aug. 5.
The four-day delay was prompted by a broken storm drain that flooded a room where slot machines were being stored. About $600,000 in damage was done.
Rivers Casino CEO Ed Fasulo said the opening date was pushed back “just to ensure we had enough time that we weren’t under undue stress to meet an unrealistic deadline.”
Officials also unveiled the logos and names for the casino’s 12 restaurants. Some of the restaurants, such as the Grandview Buffet and the West End Café, were named to reflect the casino’s connection to the Pittsburgh area.
