Runners Collapse From Heat Exhaustion At Collegiate Race

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. —

Six athletes competing in a cross country race were overcome by heat this morning and taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle.

It happened during the men's race of the Westminster College Fisher Invitational.

The Westminster coach said one runner collapsed after crossing the finish line.

Everyone who was admitted to the hospital was released by late afternoon.
