Sketch Released In Crafton Attempted Abduction Case

Crime Watch Alert Issued Wednesday

 

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. —

6 PM UPDATE: Sketch released of a man police say attempted to abduct a 9-year-old girl.

A press conference will be held Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Allegheny County Police Headquarters regarding an attempted abduction that occurred on May 10 in Crafton Borough.

A Crime Watch Alert was issued Wednesday by Crafton.

Officials said a 9-year-old girl walking along Harrison Street was approached by a man on a bicycle.

The man tried to grab her and then she ran away, police said.

The victim said she remembered the same man watching her at a playground May 4 and knocking her off her bike on May 7. She said she also saw him on Emerson Street on May 9.

The man is believed to be between 18 and 20 years old. The girl described him with dark hair and wearing a tan shirt, shorts and sandals.
