CANONSBURG, Pa. —
Canonsburg police were serving a warrant out of Allegheny County on Jan. 8 when they said Jordan Clemons fled. He was arraigned Tuesday on fleeing and eluding charges.
Police began searching for Clemons after his ex-girlfriend, Karissa Kunco went missing last week. On Thursday, Kunco, 21, was found dead in a wooded area in Mount Pleasant Township.
Channel 11's Dave Bondy spoke to Clemons as he was led out of the courtroom. Bondy reported that Clemons covered his face with paper, and when asked if he was involved in Kunco's death he responded, "Can you get out of my face please?"
Police said Clemons, of Canonsburg, is a person of interest in Kunco's slaying, but officers stopped short of calling him a suspect.
Police believed Kunco had been abducted by Clemons, who was accused of assaulting her in December.
