South Side Residents Want 'Last Call' For Liquor Licenses

88 Businesses Have Liquor Licenses On East Carson St.

PITTSBURGH —

People living on the South Side said that they want it to be "last call" for liquor licenses.

Right now, 88 businesses in the area of East Carson Street have liquor licenses.

Another one is applying for a license but neighbors are fighting it.

Kathi Papaleo loves to live on the South Side and she thinks free enterprise must prevail.

Not everyone agrees.

Chuck Nogal, owner of the Glazing Pot on East Carson, claimed that there are just too many bars already. He said he wants to ban new bars.
