St. Vincent Student Accused Of Having Child Porn On Laptop

LATROBE, Pa. —

State police in Greensburg have charged a 19-year-old St. Vincent College student accused of having child porn on his computer.

Tyler Hess is charged with sexual abuse of children after he dropped off his personal laptop at the student work program at the school, police said.

According to police, Hess said the computer had a virus and he wanted it fixed. As the students worked on his computer, police said they found pictures and video footage of child pornography on the hard drive.

Police were notified and the investigation revealed that Hess' computer also contained files with a large number of images that were placed into folders titled, “Incomming," "Best," "Good" and "Rare."

Each of the folders also contained a large number of child porn videos, police said.

Channel 11 tried to contact Hess but his phone had been disconnected.
