PITTSBURGH —
In the filing obtained by Channel 11’s Karen Welles, Wilson said he’s fearful because his girlfriend's behavior is out of control.
Wilson said that he and Lindsay Paulat got into an argument Saturday morning at his Pine Township home. Paulat allegedly punched and kicked Wilson. He said he left the home and Paulat went back inside, starting a nearly 12 hour standoff with police.
In the P.F.A. Wilson claimed Paulat assaulted him numerous times in the past and has held a gun to her head threatening to hurt herself.
In asking for protection from abuse for himself, his son, and he and Paulat's baby girl, Wilson said, "I am fearful for my safety."
And if she got access to a gun, “I believed I would be shot."
Wilson's attorney said they feel this is the appropriate action to take under the circumstances. Wilson has been awarded temporary custody of the couple's child. Paulat can have no contact with her pending a hearing next week.
Paulat's attorney said they're trying to resolve all of the issues amicably.
Paulat is undergoing a mental evaluation. She faces charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
