STOCKTON, Calif. —

Stockton police are investigating a different type of drive-by attack that took place during the long the holiday weekend.

Police say a 51-year-old woman was hurt after someone in a passing car threw a pumpkin at her as she took a walk Thursday night.  The pumpkin hit the woman in the chest, causing her so much pain that paramedics took her to a hospital.

Sacramento television station CBS 13 says investigators don't have much to go on, but say they're looking for a white four-door vehicle.

Authorities did not describe the exact nature of woman's injuries, but say she has returned home from the hospital. Her name has not been released.
