Storm Washes Home Off Cement Blocks In Irwin Trailer Park

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. —

Ten people had to evacuate a mobile home park in Irwin during the storms Wednesday night.

Rising water washed cement steps away from trailers and, in one case, was flowing strong enough to move a mobile home off its cement blocks.

"The devastation inside is really bad, …basically waist-high in my trailer,” said trailer park resident Greg Tickerhoof. “The whole thing is messed up. I couldn't have even trashed it better myself."

Three shelters were set up in Westmoreland County overnight at the Trafford Fire Department, the Lutheran Church in Penn Borough and a church along Kennedy Avenue in Export.
