A 41-year-old suburban Wellington woman is facing criminal charges after a boy told authorities that the two have had sex multiple times after she invited him over to her home.
Lisa A. O’Neill faces charges of transmitting harmful information to minors and unlawful sexual activity with a minor. She was arrested Wednesday and released from the Palm Beach County Jail on Thursday after posting $37,000 bond, jail records show.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s detectives interviewed the boy July 3 when he reported to them that he had been having sex with the woman since June 2012.
He said they began with texting each other about “sexual stuff” and the flirting continued. She held a party in September 2012 where she gave him Bud Light beer to drink. He went home after drinking the beers, he told detectives, then later received a text from O’Neill asking him to come over.
The boy, whose name was redacted from the probable-cause affidavit, went to O’Neill’s home and, after chatting and joking, the two had sex. The age of the boy was not included in the report.
A few days after that, O’Neill sent pictures of herself to the boy after he asked her to. The two had sex again on Nov. 19, 2012, and then in December.
The boy reported that in May, O’Neill texted him to meet at Toys R US store, and that they had sexual intercourse in a car parked nearby.
Detectives found seven pictures of O’Neill on the boy’s phone, four of which were nude photos. They went to O’Neill’s home Wednesday and arrested her.
Detectives said O’Neill confessed to having sex with the boy, but only after he seduced her while she was drunk. She also admitted to sending him photos of herself.
