McCANDLESS, Pa. —
The man was spotted Tuesday at about 9 p.m. near Mahler Hall.
"One of the dorm residents reported hearing a noise in the bedroom, and when she entered the bedroom, (she) saw a gentleman trying to get in the window,” said McCandless police Lt. Don O’Connor.
“I just know he broke into a room and some girl walked in on him, saw him in there, and they never caught him,” said student Tiffany Faynor.
The victim told police the man appeared to be in his 30s and had a scruffy appearance with a beard, lighter hair and a thin build.
LaRoche officials immediately notified the student body via text message.
O’Connor told Channel 11 News that police think the campus creeper is responsible for a nearby apartment burglary in which a computer was stolen.
“We think this gentleman may also be responsible for the theft of a lot of small electronic items from cars, a lot of unlocked cars in the area,” said O’Connor.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact McCandless police.
