The robotics team at St. Joseph High School spent six months preparing for the World Championships in Dallas this week. However, they discovered all their preparations were for naught when they were told they couldn’t go because of the swine flu outbreak.

“We understand why the decision was made, but it definitely was a big disappointment when we heard the news,” said senior Colleen Fisher.

"I think it will help, because we learned how to, first of all, build the robots and the computer part, which is engineering it and programming it to do what we wanted it to do," said senior Ian Carvin.
