Teens Allege Sexual Assault By Butler Co. Doctor

BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. —

A prominent Butler County doctor will go to court again to face more sex charges.

Two young men, ages 15 and 17, came to court to talk about what they said happened behind closed doors during an exam conducted by Dr. David Evanko.

Evanko remained silent as he headed in to face his accusers with his wife and attorney by his side.

A criminal complaint alleges that Evanko sexually assaulted the young men during exams.

One accuser told police that Evanko would lock the door and that the medical exams made him feel uncomfortable.

According to Dave DeFazio, Evanko’s attorney, the medical exam rooms do not have locks on the doors.

Evanko is awaiting trial on previous sex charges when two men came forward last year claiming they were sexually assaulted in the 90s when Evanko was their Boy Scout leader.

The current and past charges have allegedly turned Evanko’s world upside down when the Boy Scouts revoked his membership and he took a leave of absence from work.

“This is a pillar in the community, this had devastated him,” said DeFazio, Evanko’s attorney.
