BEAVER FALLS, Pa. —
Joann Vaughn found her brother and sister-in-law murdered in the basement while two of their children were safely locked in a room upstairs.
Investigators told Channel 11 News that the couple had just returned from Demetria's home town of El Paso, Texas and now El Paso homicide detectives and the FBI are also working the case.
Vaughn says she is still in shock but wants to thank people in the community who have come forward to help her and the Harper's three children, "I'd like to thank everyone for support and love and heart goes out to those helping me thank you very much."
Vaughn says the children need help, and she has set up a fund for anyone who wants to donate. She has set up the Harper Familiy Memorial Fund at the Beaver Valley Federal Credit Union.
