Thousands In Steel Panels Stolen From Ambridge Bottled Water Supplier

AMBRIDGE, Pa. —

Police said that thousands of dollars worth of steel sheeting was stolen from Creekside Springs, a bottled water supplier in Ambridge.

More than 900 2-by-4-foot stainless steel panels were stolen from inside a locked Creekside Springs warehouse, according to police.

Police believe that several thieves made multiple trips using a truck to remove the steel from the warehouse.

Jack Fehr, a representative of Creekside Springs, said that the value of 900 brand-new stainless steel panels is approximately $62,000. “Fortunately, they took used ones,” he said.

Fehr estimated that a scrap yard would pay “a couple thousand dollars” for the used steel.

Police are asking local scrap yards not to buy any stainless steel panels of this variety.
