Tiffany's Officially Opens At Ross Park Mall, Nordstrom Still Stocking Shelves

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

Tiffany & Co. officially opened their new store at Ross Park Mall on Friday in Ross Township.

A morning ceremony was held on Friday at the 5,700-square-foot store, followed by the first Breakfast at Tiffany in Pittsburgh, which was attended by corporate and civic leaders, as well as customers and representatives from Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and Pittsburgh Public Theater.

The jeweler's diamonds were represented by models in Tiffany gowns during the event.

Despite the economic crisis nationwide, store director Tracy Weigand is optimistic the store will attract customers.

“We are in the business of celebrating important moments in people’s lives,” she said. “People will continue to celebrate those times.”

Nordstrom also offered a preview of its new Ross Park store as employees continue to stock the shelves.

Nordstrom representative Brooke White was also confident that the retailer would be able to attract business during hard economic times.

"This is a tough environment," she said. "People will need to shop at some point, though, and we'll be here to take care of shoppers' needs."

Nordstrom will include five shoe departments, designer handbags and clothing for men and women.

It opens Friday October 24th.
