The Mt. Lebanon School District released the following statement:
The Mt. Lebanon School District has long been committed to respect the dignity of each person and to safeguarding the right of all students within the District to an education and work environment that is free from all sexual harassment. The District condemns and prohibits all unwelcome behavior which has the purpose or effect of creating a hostile, intimidating or offensive work or educational environment.
Recently, Dr. George Wilson, Superintendent of Schools, was presented a document that contained extremely offensive statements related to a group of Mt. Lebanon High School students. The administration has taken action in this matter by conducting an internal investigation as specified in its policies. In addition, this matter has been referred to the Mt. Lebanon Police Department for their review. Since this is a student disciplinary matter, there will be no further comment at this time.
