Track The Cup: Penguins Carry Lord Stanley Through Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH —

One day after a stunning Stanley Cup victory, the Pittsburgh Penguins were back in Pittsburgh, wanting to celebrate with fans. Players have been spotted with the Cup in various places throughout Pittsburgh since coming back from Detroit as champions.

Penguins management said each member of the team will be given a chance to carry the Cup to a location of their choosing.

Excited fans crowded the street outside Mantini's on the South Side when Coach Bylsma made an unexpected visit with the Cup on Saturday. Later that night, several members of the team and coaches took the Cup to Diesel and Mario's on the South Side. Some fans even got to touch the Cup. Word spread fast that players like Sidney Crosby and Max Talbot were on the South Side. Many messages were sent via Twitter. East Carson Street eventually became packed with proud Pittsburgh fans.
