Tractor-Trailer Goes Up In Flames Outside Squirrel Hill Tunnel

PITTSBURGH —

Traffic was tied up for several hours on the Parkway East Monday night after a tractor-trailer caught fire.

Firefighters watered down the truck, which went up in flames along the outbound lanes near the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.

Traffic was backed up from Saline Street to Swinburne Street near Schenley Park. It also backed up to Bates Street in Oakland, a three-mile stretch.
