All-Star Traffic Restrictions

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: If you are heading downtown there are closures you need to know about because of Fan Fest and the 2006 All-Star game.

10th street is closed between French Way and Fort Duquesne Boulevard. It will reopen at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The 10th Street Bypass is also closed.

11th Street will close from Smallman to Fort Duquesne Boulevard, and Fort Duquesne Boulevard will close from 9th Street to 11th Street.

These closures will be in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

And Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is making it easier to people to get around for the All-Star Game.

The HOV lanes on Interstate 279 and Interstate 579 will open at 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for outbound traffic. That is three hours earlier than normal.

The occupancy restriction of two or more people per vehicle will be lifted during that time.
