Parkway East Closes This Weekend

Get ready for more construction, delays and traffic on the Parkway East.

Outbound lane closures will start two hours after the Pirates game ends Friday night.

The problem is the game should end around 11 p.m. but there's a concert that follows the game.

The closures will be between Squirrel Hill and Wilkinsburg.

An alternate suggestion is to take Route 28 northbound to Harmar to the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Exit 48) to Monroeville (Exit 57).

Motorists are advised to expect delays and congestion on the outbound Parkway East and detour route.
