Trailer Home Explodes In Roscoe Borough

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. —

A 92-year-old woman escaped injury Friday night when a house exploded behind her.

"It was like a movie. It just literally blew up," said neighbor Rick Gazi.

Kerry Zutterlinda was watering plants on the porch of her home in the Lazy D mobile home park in Roscoe at the time of the explosion.

Investigators said a contractor digging a water line ruptured a gas main, setting off the explosion.

One house was destroyed. Another was slightly damaged.

Zutterlinda was shaken, but not hurt.

"It's like a nightmare. It's like a nightmare," Zutterlinda said.
