Trucker Tricked By Man Pretending To Be In Distress

BIG BEAVER BOROUGH —

A trucker was tricked by a driver who looked like his car was broken down on Route 18 in Big Beaver Borough early Thursday morning.

When the semi driver pulled over to help what appeared to be a driver in distress, the man pulled a gun.

The suspect forced the trucker to drive around until they ended up on Eaglerock Road.

Eventually the trucker was released in the woods and the suspect took off.

Police said the man who posed as a victim is about 5'8'' tall, 180 lbs. with a thin dark moustache.

Officials believe he is in his 40's. The car he was driving is described as a gold Buick LeSabre, Buick Century, or Pontiac Bonneville.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Beaver Station.
