Union Township Police Officer Faces Sexual Assault Charges

UNION TOWNSHIP —

A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Tuesday for a Union Township police officer who is accused of sexually assaulting two teenagers in January.

Two girls, 13 and 15, alleged that 10-year veteran police Officer Richard Corbin offered them a ride home but instead provided the girls with alcohol and sexually assaulted them at his house.

Neighbors said that Corbin, 35, is a father of three and lives alone at his residence on Moore Avenue in Lawrence County.

Corbin faces two counts of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and furnishing alcohol to minors.
