Washington County Man Trades Car For Horse

WASHINGTON, Pa. —

The high gas prices have one local man parking his car and saddling up his horse.

Rob Caldwell rode into the city of Washington Wednesday, on his 20-year-old horse.

He wanted to get a pack of cigarettes, but didn't want to waste money on gas.

"It's outrageous now a days to pay so I figure this is a lot cheaper, just some hay and oats," said Caldwell.

He said he got quite a few strange looks when he rode up to Nick's Gas Station.

He even tied the reins of his horse to a gas pump when he went inside.
