Water Tested After Break-In At Pittsburgh-Area Plant

BARKEYVILLE, Pa. —

Investigators are testing the water after a break-in at a water treatment plant in Barkeyville, Venango County.

Authorities said somebody tampered with a couple of gates, a fence, a propane tank and a garbage can sometime Wednesday night.

However, police said the person was not able to get into the building. State police said the water was tested, and they did not find anything.

Police said the incident might be related to other crimes in the neighborhood, in which someone broke into garages and tampered with mailboxes.
